Recipe: Pesto Pasta

  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Pine nuts or walnuts
  • Garlic cloves
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pasta of your choice
  1. In a food processor, combine fresh basil leaves, pine nuts or walnuts, garlic cloves, and grated Parmesan cheese.
  2. Pulse until finely chopped.
  3. With the food processor running, drizzle in extra-virgin olive oil until the mixture forms a smooth paste.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cook your favorite pasta according to the package instructions.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta with the pesto sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve hot or cold, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
